Better buttering

HELPING YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT BUTTER OPTION

Sometimes it’s difficult to know the best type of butter to get for you and your family, particularly if people have different tastes and dietary requirements. By having more than one variety on hand, you can keep everyone happy. And, depending what you’re using it for, it can also be a good way to manage spending.

Here are some tips to help you match the right butter or spread with different uses and tastes.

Differences

Includes other ingredients to suit certain diets and make it easier to spread. Still delivers the delicious buttery taste Kiwis know and love.

Uses

Super convenient when you want maximum spreadability without giving up that butter flavour.

Best for

Dairy Blend is made with a touch of canola oil, which makes it easy to spread on baked goods, waffles, potatoes and more. It’s a really convenient butter option that’s ready straight from the fridge.

Anchor dairy blend is a good option if you love the taste of butter but want to reduce the amount of fat in your diet. If you want to save money, it’s also a cheaper alternative to regular butter.

Dairy blend is ideal for spreading on toast as it tastes like butter but, unlike margarines or table spreads, it doesn’t achieve this with added flavours.

Tips

Cooking Tips

Dairy blend is great for boosting the flavour of cooking ingredients - for example, steamed vegetables with parsley and garlic.

Baking Tips:

Dairy blend is not recommended for baking as the canola oil can alter the final result of baked goods.

Spreading Tips:

When making toasties, spread Anchor dairy blend on the outside of the bread to get that tasty golden crunch.
