Homemade Pocky  Sticks

30 mins

  • 126 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp double action baking powder
  • 30 g Anchor Salted Butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tbsp (approx) water

  • Baking chocolate
  • Chopped nuts, eg almond, pistachio, pecan
  • Sprinkles

  1. Sift together plain flour and baking powder.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, condensed milk and hot water.
  3. Add the butter mixture the dry ingredients and form into a dough. Add approximately another 1 tbsp water (start with a little less than 1 tbsp and add more if necessary) to form a soft, pliable but not sticky dough.
  4. Divide the dough into 20 equal portions (about 12 g each).
  5. Using a rolling-stretching motion, shape each piece of dough into thin ropes of about 6 inches in length.
  6. Bake at 165°C for around 30 - 40 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Cool, then coat with melted baking chocolate and decorate with chopped nuts or sprinkles.
