Method
  1. Cook pasta until al dente, according to package instructions.
  2. In the meantime, season the shrimp with the paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and Cajun seasoning.
  3. Pan sear the shrimp for about 5-7 minutes with olive oil until they are almost cooked through. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the onion until it is caramelized in olive oil.
  5. Add in the spices, pasta water and heavy cream to the caramelized onion.
  6. Simmer on low for a couple minutes and then add in the grated parmesan cheese. Give it a stir and then simmer for a couple more minutes.
  7. Add in the cooked pasta and toss to coat well with the creamy Cajun sauce.
  8. Then add in the shrimp and mix everything together well. Cover and simmer for 3-4 minutes on low heat. Remove from heat.
  9. Garnish with pepper flakes, parsley, or other fresh herbs before serving and enjoy!
